The Winchester 54

The Winchester Model 54 is a bolt action rifle manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The 54 was the first successful production run civilian center fire bolt action for Winchester. The 54 was based on the Mauser action. Predating the Winchester model 70 the 54 gave introduction to the 270 Winchester Cartridge in the early 1900's. The Model 54 Winchester was produced until 1936. Smith & Wesson has always been one of my favorite manufactures of firearms. My very first handgun was the tried and true S&W Model 10 38spl. This Model of Smith & Wesson firearm is a six-shot, 38spl, double-action revolver with fixed sights. The Model 10 is a revolver of great popularity. Barrels came in all different lengths with the most common being 4". The Smith Model 10 is fun to shoot, dependable and easy to work on. They typically range in price from $250-$695.
